The menu at Apple Cafe boasts a fantastic array of offerings, particularly for those with a sweet tooth. Diners rave about the homemade cakes, with the rich and moist carrot cake being a standout favorite. It pairs wonderfully with a cup of their incredible coffee, particularly the flat white, which has even won over self-proclaimed coffee snobs. One of the unique aspects of Apple Cafe is its enchanting location amidst a plant nursery. You might even catch a glimpse of awe-inspiring sculptures, including pieces by renowned artist Anthony Gormley, adding an extra layer of charm to your visit.

While the cafe experience is generally delightful, some guests have noted that the ordering system could benefit from improvements, particularly during busy periods. However, many patrons have taken this opportunity to embrace the cafe’s relaxed vibe. As one visitor aptly put it, “A place for slow living.” It’s an invitation to immerse yourself in the experience rather than rush through it, perfect for those who want to unwind.

With its friendly staff and dog-friendly policy, Apple Cafe is also a welcoming destination for all members of the family. So, take a break from your day and indulge in homemade goodness while surrounded by nature. You’ll leave not just with a full stomach, but with a heart warmed by the café’s cozy charm.

Very lovely cafe, serving lots of great cakes and coffee. Our coffee was incredible, we were thoroughly impressed. The carrot cake was excellent too. If we were to say one thing to improve it would be a better system for ordering as we were waiting 25 minutes in a queue of only 4 people ahead of us, we didn’t mind this as we had lots of time but wouldn’t be ideal if we wanted a quick coffee.

Lovely cafe in a devine garden/plant center. Flat white was very decent (I'm a coffee snob). And a super selection of delicious cakes and home made scones. The setting is perfect.

Lovely setting, garden to look around and wonderful plants to buy, with a glimpse at an Anthony Gormley statute or two. Homemade cakes ,and scones. Fresh rolls made to order and fresh soup made I believe from produce grown there. Afternoon tea available- would guess need to book in advance. Service is slow as though a lot of staff , systems don't seem to be in place. A place for slow living. Limited seating in doors, up stairs, but ample seating outside. Free car park on site, disabled parking nearer to cafe.
